Vosne Romanee Le Croix Rameau

Visit Domaine Lamarche – tasting the 2016s from cask

By Steen Öhman January 16, 2018 -

My second visit at Domaine Lamarche - and eager to see if the 2016s could match the fine wines made here in the 2015 vintage. I was impressed by the 2015s, as I historically have found wines from this estate somewhat underwhelming, but in recent years new generations and new standards have been …

Domaine Francois Lamarche, Vosne La Croix Rameau 2002

By Steen Öhman September 3, 2013 -

The Vosne Romanee La Croix Rameau 2002 from Lamarche is slightly austere and seems over oaked. In the nose quite floral red fruit notes and a dominant tone of oak. On the palate quite lean fruit - with a quite strong impression of oak. The midpalate fruit is quite ok, but it's short and the finish …

Domaine Jacques Cacheux, Vosne La Croix Rameau 1999

By Steen Öhman August 30, 2013 -

The Vosne Romanee Les Croix Rameau 1999 from Cacheux is not a memorable bottle. In the nose a quite austere fruit expression with some quite strong hints of oak. On the palate loads of tannins and quite lean fruit - not very pleasent. No flaws detected - but hopefully other examples are better. In …

Jacques Cacheux, Le Croix Rameau 2004

By Steen Öhman September 10, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Croix Rameau 2004 from Cacheux is a disappointing wine in every sense. Green and quite vegetal in the bouquet offering only few sweet notes of maturity. On the palate same story, green notes and unripe tannins and only little fruit to balance the wine. Not a pleasure. (Dont Drink)Average - …
