The 1989 Suduiraut is very developed. In the bouquet burnt caramel, alcohol and botrytis. On the palate very heavy caramel and botrytis notes. Still the wine lacks concentration and focus, and has a hollow watery finish. Is now in decline on half bottle, and should have been consumed 5 to 10 years ago. It lacks the freshness as most 1989 Sauternes, and in this case also the concentration. Not impressive – but drinkable.
