The Chassagne Les Caillerets 06 from Amiot Guy et Fils is quite typical for the vintage. In the bouquet fresh almonds, yellow fruit with tropical elements. Some minerality, but sadly the high alcohol is quite forward in the nose. On the palate quite big and heavy, with the alcohol (14%) dominating the finish. Not very focused, and lacks some backbone and fresh acidity. A typical 2006 … not my style of white Burgundy.
