Domaine Antoine Jobard, Meursault Genevrieres 2009

The Genevrieres 2009 from Antoine Jobard is a very impressive effort in a quite difficult vintage for white Burgundy. The bouquet is showing fine minerality, honey, hay and sweet ripe fruit with elements of tangerine and citrus cest. Rather intense bouquet but still refined. On the palate very good acidity for a 2009, with the wonderful minerality from the great Genevrieres vineyard. Very good balance and freshness, despite the slightly dense and ripe fruit. Thumbs up for Antoine Jobard – very impressive – for the vintage.
