Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, La Romanee 2005

The 2005 La Romanee from Liger-Belair is one of the very best wines I have tasted. Still very young, but surprisingly accessible. In the bouquet multible layers of ripe red and darker fruit raspberries, dark cherries – sweet Vosne spices and licorice. Very powerfull yet also delicate and refined, with the fantastic terroir and minerality present in the nose. On the palate also powerfull with refined cool, ripe quite lush fruit, a very fine acidity and a exceptional minirality. It’s a monumental wine, but still fresh, delicate and vibrant. Truly a legendary wine.
