Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, La Colombiere 2004

The 2004 Vosne-Romanee La Colombiere from Liger-Belair is now showing mature notes. The bouquet is open and charming with intense red fruit aromas – red and dark cherries, a hint of strawberries and gooseberries – fine discrete Vosne spices. On the palate the fruit is forward, sweet with red charming notes of sweet raspberry coulis. The fruit is juicy and quite intense and the acidity is fresh and crisp. This is really a fantastic 2004 village wine, it’s a true pleasure. Still need some years before it reach fulll maturity, but lovely now.
