Georges Roumier, Chambolle Musigny Les Cras 2007

The is still very young, fresh and undeveloped – but quite forward and extrovert. In the nose red berry fruit – slightly candied – spiced with vanilla and liquorice. On the palate quite rich and lush fruit … not fully in harmony on day one with the alcohol slightly forward. After 24 hours – more weight and depth in the fruit and the hint of alcohol has disappeared. Really need time to unfold – but the potential is fine – the 07 Roumiers are among the stars of the vintage.
