On July 8 I had the pleasure of visiting the vineyards of Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux with Charles Lachaux to see his massive viticultural changes (see separate article).

We had the pleasure of tasting with Charles in April last year, and he explained the vineyard changes he was making and the design of his new machines.
I was fascinated and very keen to see the changes, but our proposed trip to Burgundy from Australia this April was cancelled obviously- maybe next year will be ok.
The vineyard story in Burgundy is always exciting, particularly when radical ideas like these are put in place.
I am a vineyard valuer in Australia, and enjoy all aspects of them- but the values of Burgundy vineyards is just incredible! It puts the price of the wines in some perspective at least!
