Jane Eyre … always a treat … and especially after my Vespa days, the treck is a manageable journey to the southern border of the Beauneoise territory.
Jane is a frisky Australian girl who has become one of my favourite vignerons. She produces a beautiful lineup of négociant wines from Burgundy, Beaujolais, and even Australia.
Jane always seems to capture the beauty of Pinot. Slightly fragile, the perfumed note that turns a Pinot Noir into a Pinot d’émotion. It’s sometimes in the details to create these beauties, but when they sing … then the Winehog is sold.

As I wrote last time ..
Jane Eyre’s history
Jane comes from Australia, but has Norwegian ancestry. She has been in Burgundy for almost 25 years, so while perhaps not quite Burgundian, she’s certainly more so than the Winehog. The wines are Burgundian by heart and brain … not much Aussie style here (if there is such a thing) … nevertheless, I consider the style as Burgundian … and a good one at that.
