According to Vinous Media – Artémis Domaines has decided to introduce a new winemaker at d’Eugenie, who shall take this fine estate even further toward the top of Burgundy – with the existing and new vineyards recently added to the estate.
The new winemaker, Jaeok Chu Cramette (Jae Chu), is not completely new, as she is well-known by the fans of cult Burgundies. Previously Jae had Maison des Joncs where she in a short period made her own fantastic wines … while she was still working for Michel Mallard at Domain d’Eugenie.
She was then headhunted to Chateau Grillet in Rhone where she, for the last 5 years has been the manager for this fine estate – also owned by Artémis Domaines … under the management of Frédéric Engerer and under the ownership of FRANÇOIS-HENRI PINAULT.
So Jae Chu is a part of the family …
I have great hopes and expectations for Jae Chu, perhaps the biggest vigneron talent I have seen in Burgundy in my time. Very exciting indeed … welcome home! Jae will start at the entrance to 2025.
