The Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1978 from Philippe Leclerc is a beautiful mature Burgundy. In the bouquet rich and spicy pinot fruit with notes of raspberries, orange and orange peel – quite typical 1978. On the palate juicy fruit with a lovely freshness and power – raspberries and orange aromas are also dominant here. It’s a quite rich and rustic wine – intense, fully matured and at it’s peak. A lovely and quite impressive Gevrey.
