I, the Winehog, am a strange fish. I don’t seek fame and fortune, although you could argue that I am doing just that with this type of article (touché!). But the Winehog needs to eat, drink and live, and my new Mini (Cooper) is quite a budget drainer compared to my old, trusted and still faithful Vespa.
I don’t get my big kicks from black-tie dinners, although I’ve certainly participated in them, and probably will again. I simply like the relaxed enjoyment of a good vin de soif much more than a line-up of grands crus from the usual (still) affordable estates.
I however understand these drills is a part of the Burgundian tradition, and this I salute and honour. I am only a guest here, so am not the one to talk badly about Burgundy’s traditions. I do however just love to meet the passionate wine drinkers from the area and the rest of the world … see you!
