Frédéric Mugnier is in my view producing some of the most enchanting wines of Burgundy – delicate, complex and sensual.
Top of the Mugnier line is the mighty Musigny, so lets take a closer look at the terroir behind this magnificent wine.

The Mugnier Musigny is produced from four cadastre plots within the main section of the Musigny vineyard – Les Musigny or Les Grands Musigny.
Musigny – the three sections
The Musigny vineyard has three sections … Les Musigny or Grands Musigny – the main and northern part of the vineyard. Les Petits Musigny – just south of Les Musigny – a monopole owned by Vogue. Lastly we have the extension of the vineyard with some plots in the climate La Combe d’Orveau (added to Musigny in 1929 and 1989) – see map below.

Mugnier own four cadastre plots on Musigny, located in two separate areas, two plots in the southern part of Les Musigny, and two plots in the northern part of the same climate.
