Anne Gros is making some delightful wines, and the top of the range is the mighty Richebourg produced from a plot in the northern section of the vineyard – in the bottom part of the Gros family holdings – see map below where the Anne Gros holdings on Richebourg is marked with a red line.
It’s one of the best wines made from Richebourg and a very popular wine among the Burgundy collectors. So lets take a closer look at the maps and the history of the plots

Normally the Anne Gros Richebourg is considered as coming exclusively from Les Verroilles ou Richeburg – this however not the full story. The thin white line on the map above shows the border between the “Les Richebourg” and “Les Verroilles ou Richebourg” part of the Gros holdings – and a part of the Anne Gros holdings is actually in Les Richebourg. The main part (0.5450 ha) of her holdings is located in Les Verroilles ou Richeburg – but she also own 0.0552 ha in Les Richebourg.
The plot is located below the A.-F. Gros section and above the DRC plot in Les Verroilles ou Richebourg – and just north of one of the Leroy plots.
