First wine from Domaine Tortochot for me – the Gevrey-Chambertin Les Corvees 2013 – a wine produced in the area below the village. The nose offer red and dark fruits with a hint of oak, a floral element and a earthy mineral element. On the palate well structured, good mid-palate fruit with notes of dark cherries, blueberries and boysenberries. A rather classic Gevrey village in the making – with a good balance – offering good value. Need a bit of time to unfold the palate.
(Drink from 2024) – Good+ – (87 – 88p) – Tasted 03/08/2016
