Charles Lachaux has made tremendous progress at Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, winemaking is now done with a lighter hand – less oak and less extraction and furthermore a high percentage of whole cluster is now used.
While the top wines have always been very fine from this estate the change in vinification has however suddenly moved these to being quite outstanding and matching some of the top wines from these vineyards.
The Aux Reignots is one of these wines – and the magnificent 2015 made from Domaine Arnoux-Lachaoux certainly deserve a Terroir Insight.

Aux Reignots is located just above La Romanee between Les Petits Monts to the north and Champs Perdrix to the south – see map below.

The vineyard is 1.62 ha – split in 20 plots and there are currently 10 owners on the vineyard.

My research show that there are 10 owners on Aux Reignots currently … but the ownership could be even more fragmented within the different families.
