Classical Burgundian cuisine, this restaurant is located in a beautiful cellar in the very centre of Volnay. A bit old school from the outside, but the interior is freshly updated, giving it a lovely modern atmosphere.
The food is traditional Burgundian,. Nothing fancy, but well prepared from fresh produce – classic, in the best sense of the word. Portions are generous for lunch.
The wine list is seriously good with some very interesting wines from Volnay, Chassagne, Meursault and Pommard – all the right names, as one would expect. Additionally, one can find numerous wines from the Jura and other regions. Prices are reasonable – there are some good picks on the list.
