Still two month to harvest … hail is one of the dangers. Damage so far unknown …

a tremendous Chardonnay from Antoine lePetit de la Bigne. Tremendous balance for this level ... adorable livelyness and hedonistic glow. Love it these Amphorare wines ❤️
Jun 8
Slightly tired white asparagus with a pinch of chorizo and butter from the NSG market
Jun 6
A gorgeous 2020 Meursault from Pierre Morey … goodness the 2020s are starting to show … one of the best 🥰 vin d’émotion bien sure
Jun 1
The best wine experience at Volcan de Nuits 2026 … and this reminds me that Grand Cru terroirs or 1er cru fame is not needed to make a Vin d’émotion … talent and delicate hard work is however a must … what a delight … merci Pascal Mugneret

Amazing acrobatics …

a lovely 2024 from Maison Romane... Juicy and energetic...

Vin d`émotion is in a sense very simple ... the truth is in the glass ... but the equation, the intensions and feelings behind the wine has infinite complexity. This is why wine and especially Burgundies are so facinating ...
Talking Burgundies with Thibault Morey of Domaine Morey-Coffinet quickly leads to historic details about viticulture before, and wines made by the previous generations of the family. All is interconnected and linked ... through the terroirs and the nature surrounding these beautiful plots in Chassagne. Thanks for sharing Thibault..

Burgundy is so much more than wines, prices and markets. The links to history, family and nature is what creates the holistic feeling from casse-croûte in La Romanee in the childhood to exploring the wildlife as a important part of the balance of the nature that surrounds these precious terroirs. Merci Céline for letting me know a part of your world at Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard

2016 or 2015 ... to me 2015 is the clear winner ... 2016 slightly on the dark side ... 2015 very forward and vivid ... although the Cras had a rather oaky note ... sesame or just oakyness ... still a faboulous fruty note
May 15
Vin d’émotion … for sure … the 2015 Clos de Chateau is now entering a beautiful stage … silky and generous. Almost matching the Bizot - what a magnificent set
May 15
Bizot Corton Charlemagne 2023 ... just a small sip ... impressive acidity for the vintage. Very nice fruit with the oak quite forward. Lovely energy ... thx for the treat
May 15
The 2024s from Fabien Coche are faboulous … perfect ripeness in my view … with the the full range treating your palate with elegance. Such a treat 🥰

Moving to Burgundy has given me many impressions, stories, information and photos that I feel compelled to share. Enjoy!
Sometimes a photo will require further explanation, and this will be done in the articles on the Winehog website.
The important thing is to give you commentary on the views of Burgundy and the beautiful vineyards I see every day.

Louis Vallet of Charodon has upped the quality ... and the Gevrey Cazetiers is a treat in the very generous 2023 vintage. Cazetiers is truly a gorgeous vineyard ... one of the very best 1er crus in Gevrey ...
May 11
Meursault Chevalieres is one of the top village wines of the appellation. Tremendous depth and structure ... love this terroir ... and the 2023 is really showing well ... rich and generous ... yet still a nice focus
May 11
Fine tasting of Charodon 2023 and 2024 with Louis Valllet ... lovely white 2024s with quite some beautiful surprises. Very good lineup of red 2023s - the Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers is stunningly good. Wines here are getting more focused year by year ... well done.
May 8
Stayed in the red house with the white windows overlooking the Opera house … a beautiful place in a beautiful time
May 7
The Emmanuel Rouget Cros Parantoux 2016 is still quite backward and dark fruited. It has a good core of energy … but still need to unfold the complexity. 5 years at least in the cellar … 3 hours in decanter not enough.
I have difficulties with the darkness of the 2016s. Not my preferred vintage … they are too dense/intense and serious for me currently.
May 5
The Aux Reignots 2017 from Comte Liger-Belair a hedonistic marvel ... very expressive fruit and a lovely minerality. A beautiful wine ... 2017 is showing beautifully now ... however there is a limit, as the intensity of 2017 really cant match vintages like 2019. Drink and enjoy - again a vin d`émotion?
May 4
Comte Liger-Belair 2019 Clos du Château ... a bit tight currently. A big wine, and still refined. Always liked the 2019 ... but somehow the score is now setteled and I prefer the airy and effortless 2010. Lets see if the 2019 can transform its powers to refinement as it ages. Vin d`émotion ... for sure!
May 3
the 2022 Bizot Vosne 1er cru "Elise Fermouche" is a hedonistic masterpiece ... effortless and showing such brilliance. More refined than the village Vosne cuvees it displays a hedonistic elegance with fine and perfumed pinot notes ... slight hint of pink roses. With only 12,5% it does show of the refined and delicately expressed phenolics. Wow what a treat - vin d`émotion ... all the way
May 3
A lovely evening …
May 1
A lovely and focussed wine … especially considering the 2022 … unfolding beautifully with a fresh and léger style.
Apr 29
A elegant and finely concentrated NSG villages ... fine energy and Aux Allots always deliver a harmonious mineral side. The vilages just north of NSG are often overlooked.

- A true vin d’émotion – a Burgundy of passion
- A truly hedonistic wine – lively and enjoyable
- A vivacious wine for pure indulgance
- A potential vin d´émotion - frais et léger
