Comte de Vogue, Bourgogne Blanc 2009

By Steen Öhman October 25, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Bourgogne Blanc from Vogue is surpisingly good in 2009. The bouquet is showing fine exotic fruits but also a good focus with a fine minerality. On the palate surprisingly good acidity and freshness for a 2009. Good balance with a fine quite elegant fruit. A very good effort in 2009, where a lot …

Comte Lafon, Meursault Clos de la Barre 2001

By Steen Öhman October 23, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Clos de la Barre 2001 is a fine wine at best. This example was however not in perfect condition, as it had a hint of premox. Quite developed bouquet, with some very mature notes, but also some good mineral elements. The color indicated quite some oxidation - and not a 10 year old wine. The …

J.-F. Coche Dury, Meursault 2009

By Steen Öhman October 17, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Coche Meursault 2009 has a lot of exotic fruit at the moment. In the bouquet sweet notes of pear is dominating even the oak. On the palate a lot of quite dense and heavy exotic fruit. Lacking backbone and acidity, but could improve when the exotic fruit matures. But judged now, this is not an …

Philippe Pacalet, Bourgogne Rouge 2010

By Steen Öhman October 15, 2011 - Leave a Comment

Bourgogne Rouge from Pacalet 2010 a pleasure ... The bouquet very open and ready to rock with red fruits - coulis style. On the palate very fine balance with fine juicy fruit and a very good acidity structure. The acidity is vibrant and fresh, and seem more refined than the slightly rough 2008. …

Comte de Vogue, Bourgogne Blanc 2003

By Steen Öhman October 14, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The bourgogne blanc from Vogue is made from young vines on the grand cru vineyard Musigny. The 2003 version is showing some mature notes in the big and fruity bouquet. Quite exotic notes like peach are a clear indication of the very hot conditions in 2003. On the palate it's a bit unfocused with low …
