Nuits-Saint-Georges

Domaine Mugneret Gibourg, NSG Les Vignes Rondes 2008

By Steen Öhman August 10, 2012 -

Th Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er cru Les Vignes Rondes 2008 from Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg is very typical for the vintage. In the nose crystal clear pinot fruit with cherries, cherry stones and a delicate minerality. On the palate quite sharp, with pure pinot flavors, and a quite powerful acidity. Good …

Philippe Pacalet, Nuits Saint Georges 1. cru 2011

By Steen Öhman July 20, 2012 -

The NSG 1. cru is another beautiful wine. In the bouquet strawberries, raspberries and cherries, spized with a hint of pommegranate and cinnamon. On the palate fine delicate pinot flavors, with a fine depth in the fruit. Perhaps not as delicate and refined as the Chambolle 1er cru, but a lovely …

Philippe Pacalet, Nuits Saint Georges 2011

By Steen Öhman July 16, 2012 -

The Nuits-Saint-Georges village is a step up in concentration. In the nose lovely sweet pinot fruit, with notes of strawberries and raspberries - spiced up with cinnamon and a hint of allspice. On the palate more lush than the Chambolle village, but also less refined and transparant. The NSG village …

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, NSG Les Cras 2011

By Steen Öhman June 23, 2012 -

The Nuits Saint Georges Les Cras is a slightly overlooked wine from Liger-Belair. Les Crass 2011 is a very nice effort - with loads of pure nuanced fruit. The bouquet is showing beautiful red and darker fruit aromas - refined and charming. On the palate a quite focused wine with a wonderful mineral …
