The La Lagune 2000 is a classic quite old school Bordeaux. In bouquet cassis, pencil shavings with some hints of liquorice and cedar. On the palate fine juicy fruit with good support from the ripe tannins. It’s very well balanced but relatively light and somewhat short. Not a very complex wine, but a lovely old school Bordeaux. Need some years more to show a bit more complexity – but drinking well now.
