Domaine Armand Rousseau, Chambertin Clos de Beze 1993

The 1993 vintage can be a bit rustic and austere, but this is not the case with the lovely and refined Chambertin Clos de Beze from Rousseau. The bouquet offers lovely matured red fruits with a hint of citrus .. nuanced and almost perfumed with a lovely display of earthy minerality. On the palate airy red fruit … lovely variations of red berries, medium weight yet very intense and quite refined for this mighty terroir. Not a big and dense Clos de Beze as the 1993 acidity really adds refinement to this wine … I truly enjoyed this gorgeous wine.
