The Chames Chambertin 1995 has always been a beauty and one of my favorites from this slightly edgy vintage. The primary fruit has faded somewhat and the tertiary notes has taken over. It’s a both refined and elegant Charmes – as the oak now has integrated perfectly – with the bouquet offering juicy red fruits, delicate sous-bois with a orange hint. On the palate balanced and parhaps missing a bit of the exuberant fruit it had 5 years ago .. but very delicate indeed offering a lovely juicy and vibrant predominantly red fruit. A gorgeous wine .. so balanced
