The Latricieres Chambertin 2012 from Trapet impressed me quite a lot, and things certainly seems to move in the right direction at this domaine. The nose offer fine expressive red and dark fruit – notes of strawberries, raspberries and darker cherries focused by a finely defined but powerful earthy minerality. On the palate lovely organic fruit .. focused with a fine midpalate intensity. Really like the pure vibrant fruit and the fine display of terroir. Not a big grand cru … but enjoyable, lightfooted and pure. Will require quite some cellaring to unfold – Latricieres often do.
