The Le Chambertin 2010 from Domaine Trapet is quite accessible with a fine forward fruityness. In the bouquet lovely aromas of red berry fruits – notes of strawberries and raspberries – a lovely airy minerality with a discrete hint of oak. On the palate quite lovely red midpalate fruit – focused by a fine ripe tannins and the quite powerful minerality from the great Chambertin terroir. Very fruit driven and accessible for a Trapet wine – but is somehow lacking a bit of density and intensity for a Chambertin in a great year. Anyhow love the energy and nerve in the fruit and the expression of the terroir.
