The Echezeaux 2014 from Jean-Marc Millot is build for pleasure. It’s from plots in Echézeaux du Dessus, Poulaillères and Clos St. Denis and is more about refinement than power. The nose is offering delicate red fruit, forward and quite expressive with a fine mineral note. On the palate juicy red fruit – medium weight – very harmonious and with a delicate and filigree presentation of the terroir. This is not a wine for fans of dense and extracted wines – this is for those who value a refined Grand Cru that is enjoyable even in it’s youth. It’s seductive and addictive .. hedonistic pleasure with no regrets.
