Domaine du Clos Frantin is the owner of the smallest plot on Richebourg – or should I say Les Verroilles ou Richebourg, and while the production is small, it’s a both attractive and rare wine.
Maison Albert Bichot is of cause the owner of the Domaine du Clos Frantin estate, an estate they based on buying a part of the the rather notorious Grivelet estate in 1969.
It’s a complex story that involves some big historic names in Vosne-Romanée.

The Domaine du Clos Frantin holdings in Richebourg is in the very upper northern corner of Les Verroilles ou Richebourg (Richebourg), above the Meo-Camuzet plot and on the northern side of Cros Parantoux – (no 11 on the map below).
