The Chambertin Clos de Beze 2006 from Pascal Lachaux is a big and burly wine. In the bouquet quite rustic dark and red berry fruit with som animalistic elements and a earthy minerlity. On the palate rustic and dense fruit – fine length and minerality. It’s a big wine … but in my view lacking some focus and refinement. Need time to unfold – only fine.
(Drink from 2018) – Fine (92p) – Tasted 03/07/2013.
