Winehog has been operating since 2011, wow, 15 years! – stretching from a hobby wine blog to now a small team effort diving into Burgundy without safety nets and worries caused by impatient background investors.
Wine, vineyards, vignerons and the whole of Burgundy have been – and still are linked together by articles, photos and videos … and while the world is moving on, we – the Winehog – also need to develop and sharpen both the pen and attitude.

I have therefore decided to expand the team with four fellow wine lovers and Burgundy fanatics. We are here to have fun … and expand our knowledge and joy!
The latest colleague in the Winehog team is Karine Chang … a Taiwan native, and an old friend from Germany and now France. Karine has a sharp palate and a focus on wines with little sulphur and with a lovely elegance. Champagne is one of Karine’s favorite areas … Welcome to Karine!
Finding new talent and prospects is the very core of Winehog, and I am therefore thrilled to have May-Lin Voarick on board as Wine Scout & New Talents Specialist. May-Lin is one of the architects behind Vin d’émotion, and especially the frais et lèger is the brainchild of May-Lin.
Back to one of the core qualities of Winehog, we now have Pearl Liu, who is an expert in old Burgundies – and will strengthen the coverage of old wines and the history of the region.
And to improve the visual side of our coverage of Burgundy and other wine districts, I have entered into a new cooperation with Dr Chua Yang, who is a very talented and characterful addition to the Winehog team.
Together we will rock the boat in the wine world and hopefully challenge you – the readers – to some joyful wine experiences.
The world is not only DRC, Domaine Bizot and Comte Liger-Belair and other prominent producers … it’s also great and more affordable Beaujolais and aligotés.
I will focus more on the emotional wines produced not only in Burgundy but also in other wine-growing areas and regions.
And we also need to cover the more negative sides, mentioning the hedonistic disgrace of some of the big Beaune brands – that year after year seem to be producing what appears to be historic relics of oaky Pinot and Chardonnay.
Vin d’émotion all the way

May-Lin Voarick
Wine Scout & New Talents Specialist
May-Lin grew up surrounded by Burgundy’s vineyards and never stopped exploring. Regularly travelling between Burgundy, Tuscany and South Africa, she has built a rare network of winemakers both on and off the beaten track.

Karine Chang
Wine Scout & Champagne aficionado
Karine is a serious wine and Champagne girl who is also a part/full-time wine agent … with Asian countries as her preferred area.
The agent business is 100% separate and not a part of the WineHogs operations.
The German background is very welcome with the classic Ordnung muss sein. It is sometimes needed.
