I have begun to sample the red 2018 wines, and the style — and even the quality — of the vintage is somewhat irregular.
2018 is, in my view, quite a mysterious vintage, unlike any other. A lovely vintage at best, an inconsistent and rather problematic vintage at worst.
But as mentioned many times: It’s still very early, and there are at least 9 months of elevage left for most wines. Nevertheless here are my initial impressions of the 2018 red wines.
