Moving 1200 bottles of wine certainly does whet your appetite … and at my age also the need for indulgence. The gracious host found just the wine to serve my hedonistic thirst – the delicate and delicious La Justice from Jérôme Galeyrand. This is a truly sensual wine; vivid fruit spiced with refined cinnamon and allspice on the nose, weightless and effortless fruit on the palate with red and dark berries and loads of vivid energy. Medium weight yet fulfilling at every sip. This wine gratifies you, yet leaves you wanting more – a bottle more! A vin d’émotion if there ever was one.
(Drink from 2025) – Fine (91p) – 18/01/2020 – ?
