The Richebourg 2000 from Anne Gros is now wonderfully matured and showing the virtues of both the Richebourg vineyard and the 2000 vintage. The bouquet is crammed with Vosne spices and stony minerality – very expressive with a lovely sweet and charming fruit. The palate offer intense midpalate fruit, a lovely minerality and a long quite powerful finish – so typical for this fine vneyard. The fruit is charming, matured and pure – typical 2000 – but is like most other wines from this vintage lacking a bith of depth and nerve compared with the best vintages. This wine is nevertheless a utter joy – and a very impressive effort for the vintage – a lovely wine from Anne Gros.
