Burgundian rosé again .. and the 2018 is even better than the 2017 (surprisingly). The Arnaud et Sofie estate – started by Arnaud Sirugue and his wife Sofie Noëllat – has produced a delightful rosé. It’s a forward and quite expressive wine – generous on the nose yet well structured on the palate – a passetoutgrain rosé, but only pinot grapes in this cuvée. It is slightly more expressive and vivacious than the 2017 – yet on the palate it’s dry and has plenty of grip to support the summer food. The 2018 sweetness on the nose is just suitable to give the wine a attractive note. A winehog award is justified again in the 2018 vintage.
