Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Vosne Colombiere 2012

By Steen Öhman July 13, 2013 -

The Colombiere 2012 is quite a step up from the very good generic village - as it offers a more focused and refined expression of terroir. The nose is slightly reduced, but is still showing a lovely juicy red berry fruit - and it's popping with Vosne spicyness - violets, peony rose - combined with a …

Bruno Clavelier, Vosne Romanee Hautes de Beaux Monts 2011

By Steen Öhman July 13, 2013 -

The Hautes de Beaux Monts 2011 offer a lovely expression of Vosne terroir. In the bouquet red and dark pinot fruit with a lovely spicy minerality. On the palate lovely vibrant fruit focused by the fine minerality and the crisp acidity. A impressive village offering a fine and precise expression of …

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Echezeaux 2010

By Steen Öhman July 12, 2013 -

The Echezeaux 2010 from Liger-Belair is in my view a masterpiece. The nose is crammed with layers of pure red berry fruit - raspberries, red currant and pomegranate - spiced with violets, a hint of peony rose and a vivid underlying minerality. On the palate intense yet transparent with multible …

Comte Lafon, Meursault Clos de la Barre 2008

By Steen Öhman July 11, 2013 -

The Lafon 2008 Clos de la Barre is a harmonious and quite rich Meursault village. In the nose rich yellow fruit with some developed notes of hazelnuts and apple - spized with a citrusy acidity and some fine mineral notes. On the palate rich fruit for this level with a nice quite vibrant acidity ... …

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Nuits-St-Georges Lavieres 2012

By Steen Öhman July 11, 2013 -

The NSG Lavieres 2012 is quite expressive but showing a slight reduction. In the nose lovely red berry fruit spiced with a nice minerality and oak - hints of coffee. On the palate it offers quite weighty fruit - good concentration for this level - very juicy and with a good focusing minerality. A …
