Indifferent, Tedious … or even anoying wines – no more!

By Steen Öhman December 18, 2025 -

This week I had lunch with an agent colleague in a nice restaurant in Côte de Beaune ... and while I have noticed price increases many times before ... I was sort of shocked to see the prices of a simple village Meursault now climbing up towards 90-100 EUR And yes, let's face it, the prices on …

Olivier Guyot, Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2017

By Steen Öhman December 23, 2018 -

The Olivier Guyot Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2017 is rather classic offering cool fruit and it's pure and transparent. Perhaps lacking a bit sparkle and liveliness to light my fire so to speak. Perhaps a bit to high on the yields .. who knows. (Drink from 2019) - Above Average (80 - 82) - Tasted …

Maison Chantereves, Bourgogne Rouge 2013

By Steen Öhman March 12, 2016 -

The Bourgogne Rouge 2013 is a quite puristic effort. In the bouquet very pure red and dark berry fruit - cool and transparent with a hint of stony minerality. On the palate fine and delicate fruit .. lightfooted and very pure. Refreshing to taste a Bourgogne Rouge not trying to fight for village …

Philippe Pacalet, Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2013

By Steen Öhman November 13, 2014 -

The Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2013 from Philippe Pacalet is the real deal ... very transparent with a powerful crisp acidity. The bouquet is quite open with red fruits .. cherries, forest strawberries -  spiced by a slightly dusty minerality. On the palate fine delicate fruit .. slightly tight in the …
