The La Lagune 2009 is oozing with ripe fruit. In the bouquet sweet fruit – cassis with hints of raspberries and liquorice – very young and fresh. On the palate same story – rich juicy fruit with layers of very ripe soft tannins. Very fruity with a good acidity. The alcohol level is at 14% but not a noticeable problem currently. It’s a quite atypical La Lagune with all the juicy red fruit aromas, and it will be exiting to follow. Very different from the fine 2005 – but at the same level quality wise.
