The Clos de la Roche 2004 from Rousseau is a surprisingly lightfooted and delightful effort for the vintage. Quite light in color with lovely red organic fruit in the nose – offering fine notes of cherries and cherry stones. On the palate lightfooted and quite delicate with lovely red fruit – quite elegant with very marginal or no sign of green notes. Not a big wine by any standard .. but lovely now .. a wine to enjoy.
