Domaine Bertheau, Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 2009

The Amoureuses 09 from Bertheau is starting to unfold somewhat – like other 2009s. In the nose finely detailed red fruit – quite floral and supported by a filigree and quite powerful minerality from the lovely Amouresus terroir. On the palate .. rather lightfooted .. but still with fine length and intensity. The fruit is ripe and beginning to display some maturing notes. A classic Bertheau Amoureuses … still need time though – but the lightness and a slight oxidative hint suggest that this is not a wine that will require 10 tears more in the cellar.
