The Pommard Pezerolles 1999 is showing much better than the Volnay from the same vintage. In the nose sous-bois, quite rustic red fruit, cinnamon and prunes. On the palate much more midpalate fruit than the Volnay 1999, offering good weight and concetration. Slightly overripe with some quite powerful sweet notes of prunes. Quite rustic and old school .. but nevertheless quite good.
