Remi Jobard – Tasting the 2024s

In the last 10 years, Remi Jobard has moved forward quality-wise and is now at the top end of the Meursault hirakie.

The style is classic and pure with a lovely intensity and density. The 2024 vintage is no exception… and the low alcohol vintage is shaping some truly gorgeous wines.

Sous la Velle is a classic, village Meursault – elegant and vivid. Its freshness and effortlessness – very impressive for the 2024 vintage; wow! I prefer 2024 … but same level as 2022.

Domaine Remi Jobard Meursault En Luraule 2024

A wonderful and elegant Meursault. Stockinger barrels are employed for the 20% new oak, and they frame the wine nicely. The finely grained, pure notes from the oak really show well in a Meursault, especially in a refined year like 2024. I do love the Stockingers.

The Narvaux is tasty, with deep fruit. Narvaux is often fairly powerful, but in 2024, we find a beautiful balance. Wow, what a lovely vintage.
