Domaine Poisot, Romanee-Saint-Vivant 2009

By Steen Öhman February 20, 2013 -

The Romanee-Saint-Vivant 2009 from Domaine Poisot is a refined and lovely wine. The bouquet is currently slightly closed (perhaps due to recent transport) but gradually showing more and more red fruit - cherries, raspberries - with hints of oak, coffee, liquorice and plum. On the palate beautiful …

Domaine Dublere, Beaune Les Blanches Fleurs 2007

By Steen Öhman February 20, 2013 -

The Beaune Les Blanches Fleurs 2007 from Domaine Dublere is just starting to get the first matured notes. This 1er cru terroir is a quite rare bird coming from a relatively unknown terroir neighbouring Beaune Clos du Roi. Blair is making this wine from the upper and sandy part of this triangular …

Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, Romanee-Saint-Vivant 2008

By Steen Öhman February 19, 2013 -

The Romanee-Saint-Vivant from Arnoux-Lachaux is made from a 0.375 ha plot in the southern part of the vineyard - just above the garden of Bernard Gros and just north of La Grande Rue. The 2008 edition of this lovely wine offers a quite expressive nose, with dark and red fruits - cherries, …

Hervé Sigaut, Chambolle Musigny Les Fuees 2002

By Steen Öhman February 18, 2013 -

The Chambolle Le Fuees from Hervé Sigaut is drinking very well - but still not fully matured. Starting out with a very expressive nose of red 02 fruit, orange and sous bois with hints of gooseberries and tar. After some time in the glass the Chambolle minerality finds it's way to the bouquet ... …

Domaine Forey, Clos de Vougeot 2011

By Steen Öhman February 17, 2013 -

The Clos de Vougeot is a step up in concentration from the more mineral driven Echezeaux. In the bouquet pure red wild berries spiced with hints of oak and chocolate. On the palate quite dense and with a powerful midpalate fruit - juicy and quite fresh - with a good energy and intensity. A bigger …
