It seems like Jean-Nicolas Méo is on a winning streak … and this is confirmed by the 2023s where all the usuals show very well … and some big surprises really hit the bullseye.
Jean-Nicolas Méo’s wines followed the nature and style of the vintage, with a gentle, vivid hand – even the Cortons are lively and effortless!!
Not all (most likely impossible) hit the bullseye, but many wines are close with a fine phenolic ripeness … this is not easy with a large portfolio covering from Corton to Marsannay!

This is not 2019, and this is a lighter vintage than the generous and charming 2022 … But 2023 has its moments of lively and effortlessly joy, and has produced some truly emotional wines.
To the notes – Méo-Camuzet 2023
Domaine Méo-Camuzet Hautes Côtes de Nuits Clos St. Philibert Blanc 2023
As usual, this shows the benefits from the better acidity in the Hautes Côtes. Light reduction shapes the wine. Has a good liveliness and will accompany seafood and summer salads very well.
(Drink from 2025) – Very Good (87p)

Méo-Camuzet Marsannay 2023
Rather classic Marsannay … a bit on the darker side … but phenolics are fine.
(Drink from 2025) – Very Good (87p)
Domaine Méo-Camuzet Chambolle-Musigny 2023
The Chambolle Village is lively and intense for 2023. Has a bright energy and a delightful tension. This Chambolle is a treat, even the ‘Vosne’ oak seems to integrate perfectly with the Chambolle fruit.
