Anne Gros, Bourgogne Blanc 2011

By Steen Öhman June 17, 2012 -

The Bourgogne Blanc is richer and rounder than the Hautes Cotes de Nuits - and slightly more refined. In the nose apple, grapefruit, melon and peach fruit aromas. On the palate quite rich round, but with a quite good freshness. Above Average (83 - 85p) CASK Tasted 04/05/2012 …

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Vosne Romanee Colombiere 2011

By Steen Öhman June 17, 2012 -

The Colombiere is a step up from the ordinary village wine. In the nose fine berry aromas, cherries, raspberries with a hint of allspice and violets. On the palate lovely fruit and minerality, but in this year not able to match Clos du Chateau. Very Good+ (88 - 90p) CASK Tasted 04/05/2012 …

On the palate good concentration, but not the same minerality as Colombiere and Clos du Chateau, but still quite finely balanced and fresh. A very good wine. Very …

On the palate fine and well structured with good acidity and minerality. The wine is quite openly knit for a …

J.-F. Coche-Dury, Meursault 2009

By Steen Öhman June 14, 2012 -

This Coche-Dury Meursault 2009 is showing much better than the bottle tasted in October 2011. In the bouquet yellow fruit, acacia, grape fruit, with elements of gun powder and popcorn. A more exotic and discrete expression than normally found in young Coche wines. On the palate quite dense and lush …
