Visiting Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat is a treat and the 2017s are showing fine form here, as expected I could add. Hudelot-Noëllat seem to improve each year, and is certainly moving into the major league, with lovely quality supplementing the lovely collection of vineyards.
Charles Van Canneyt has definitely raised the game the latest years.
The 2017 vintage at Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat
Charles Van Canneyt did very well in 2016, and as while the 2016 showed very well, the 2017s do on the other hand offer a more forward and vivid drinking experience.
The 2017s are simply drinking well, and while the 2016s in general is the bigger vintage at Hudelot-Noëllat – I do find a lot of pleasure in the 2017s. Do not underestimate the 2017s.
The 2016 frost did give some very concentrated wines .. in some appellation .. whereas the 2017 seems balanced, and there are no signs of high yield effects – with the vines compensating for the frost the year before.
The 2017s have a tremendous balance ..
