Normally I really like the wines from Philippe Pacalet. But not the Meursault 2003, a typical white 2003 for bad and worse. Sweet and without structure and freshness, frankly, not a pleasure. Only confirms - stay away from the white 2003 Burgundies - at best a average wine. (Drink now) - 79p …

It's not often I taste white Burgundy from the 1991 vintage. Domaine Matrot Meursault Blagny 1991 is still an interesting wine, but is now in decline with very mature tones.
