Domaine Dujac, Gevrey Chambertin Aux Combottes 2007

By Steen Öhman October 28, 2011 -

The Dujac Aux Combottes 2007 is a pleasure. The bouquet quite open with sweet red notes. On the palate very well balanced with fine fruit and minerality. The style seems quite organic with a lot of very pure pinot flavors. A true pleasure - need to check more Dujac 07 wines. Very fine 07 effort with …

Philippe Pacalet, Chambolle Musigny 1er cru 2009

By Steen Öhman October 26, 2011 -

The Chambolle Musigny 1er cru is normally one of the very best Pacalet wines. This also apply for the 2009 vintage. Very nice refined minerality in the nose, with red coulis fruits - organic style. Perhaps slighly closed compared to a the first tasting in May 2011. On the palate very fine acidity …

Comte de Vogue, Chambolle Musigny 1er cru 2009

By Steen Öhman October 21, 2011 -

The Vogue 2009 Chambolle 1er cru is like always made from young vines on the Musigny vineyard. Slightly closed in the bouquet, with a rather dark fruit expression. Not much minerality is showing in the nose. The taste is more forward with dense fruit, quite good acidity and minerality. Fine coulis …

J.-F. Coche Dury, Meursault 2004

By Steen Öhman October 16, 2011 -

The 2004 white burgundies can be very good, but a lot of them are currently in a rather closed stage. The 2004 Meursault from Coche Dury is no exception. On the nose the oak is still quite dominant, and only few mature notes - but is beginning to show. On the palate quite tight with a fine acidity …

Jean Grivot, Echezeaux 2008

By Steen Öhman October 13, 2011 -

The Echezeaux 2008 from Grivot is closing down. The bouquet is a rather dark expression of pinot fruit, without the red notes and minerality one find in many 2008 reds. On the palate also rather dark, with quite good concentration and length. Maybe a bit to much extraction ... but otherwise very …
