Chambolle Musigny

Jean-Michel Guillon, Chambolle Musigny 2009

By Steen Öhman April 13, 2012 -

The Chambolle Musigny 2009 from Jean-Michel Guillon is a quite delicate wine. In the bouquet red cherries with hints of strawberries and cherrie stones. The nose offers a fine discrete minerality, and some spicy notes - white peppar and a hint of smoked meat. On the palate fine ripe red fruits, the …

Comte de Vogue, Bonnes Mares 2009

By Steen Öhman April 4, 2012 -

The 2009 Bonnes Mares from Vogue is a very very fine effort. In the nose fine red and dark fruit - kirch, red cherries, liquorice and raspberries. The bouquet is getting sweeter and darker as the wine develops in the glass - and a spicy herbal note is appearing in the nose. On the palate very good …

Philippe Pacalet, Chambolle Musigny 1er cru 2010

By Steen Öhman March 11, 2012 -

The Chambolle 1er cru is one of my long time favorite wines from Pacalet. The 2010 is most likely the best vintage of the Chambolle 1er cru so far. The bouquet is almost an explosion of very pure and ripe pinot aromas - strawberries with a hint of black cherries and raspberries. On the palate it ads …

Philippe Pacalet, Chambolle Musigny 2010

By Steen Öhman March 11, 2012 -

The 2010 Chambolle village from Pacalet is the essence of red Burgundy. It's simply a crystal clear expression of the pinot fruit and the terroir! In the bouquet fine pinot aromas - strawberries with a hint of raspberries and cherries - finely balanced with a nice minerality and a crisp acidity. On …

Comte de Vogue, Chambolle Musigny 1er cru 2000

By Steen Öhman March 10, 2012 -

The Chambolle 1er cru 2000 from Vogue is slowly approaching maturity. The nose is starting to show some sweet notes, but still a rather dark expression with raspberries and a hint of tar. Op the palate still some grip, and the fruit is not totally resolved. Needs a few years more to reach a mature …
