Antonin Guyon, Corton Bressandes 1978

By Steen Öhman February 15, 2016 -

The 78 Corton Bressandes from Antonin Guyon is showing remarkably well. The bouquet offer a lovely mixture of red forrest berries fresh and quite charming ... hints of orange peel and coffee after some time in the glass. On the palate light-weight lacking a bit of midpalate weight and concentration …

Maurice Chevillon, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er cru 1964

By Steen Öhman February 14, 2016 -

Terroir Insight: Domaine Leroy Musigny

By Steen Öhman February 9, 2016 -

Domaine Dujac, Chambolle Musigny 2006

By Steen Öhman February 8, 2016 -

The Chambolle village 2006 from Dujac is not showing at the moment. In the nose rich and forward fruit - red and dark berries, prune and soy - currently not very precise and transparent. On the palate openly knit, quite weighty and a bit alcoholic - not very focused at the currently. Have tasted …

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Chambolle Musigny 2005

By Steen Öhman February 8, 2016 -

I have been quite worried about the true Burgundian nature of the 2005s .... are they too intense and powerful or will they resolve into true Burgundy refinement and delicacy. I recall I spoke with Jean-Luc Pepin about this at the release of the 05 vintage back in 2007 ... and I'm pleased to see …
