Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair

Tasting of Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair 2012 from cask

By Steen Öhman September 29, 2013 -

On my September trip to Burgundy I had he opportunity to taste the 2012s from Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair. I tasted some of the wines already in March 2013 - and they showed great promise - so I was very exited to taste the whole range. Needless to say - I was not disappointed - the 2012s …

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Vosne Clos du Chateau 2010

By Steen Öhman September 19, 2013 -

The Vosne-Romanee Clos du Chateau 2010 is a gorgeous wine. The nose is slightly closed compared to last note - but still expressive with red berry fruit - spiced with violets, cinnamon, peony rose and a touch of oak. Very fruity and organic Vosne expression. On the palate intense fruit with a lovely …

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Nuits St. Georges Aux Cras 2008

By Steen Öhman August 28, 2013 -

The 2008 Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Cras 2008 from Liger-Belair is a gorgeous wine. The nose is perfumed with red berry fruit, violets, rose petals and a discrete hint of oak. On the palate quite tight and focused fruit. It's transparent and long driven by the vibrant 08 acidity and the quite powerful …

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Vosne Clos du Chateau 2011

By Steen Öhman August 26, 2013 -

The 2011 Clos du Chateau is slightly closed at the moment. In the nose red berry fruit and vosne spices with a hints of gooseberries and oak. On the palate airy red fruit with a quite refined impression of oak. The fruit is sweet and ripe, with a good focus - the tannins are finely grained and well …

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Clos des Grandes Vignes 2012

By Steen Öhman August 2, 2013 -

First white from Louis-Michel - from the newly acquired vineyard Clos des Grandes Vignes in the southern Nuits-Saint-Georges. The wines were re-grafted with Chardonney in 2010 - so this is a fairly new vineyard for the whites. The bouquet is quite expressive with notes of pear, melon and citrus - …
