The Blanchots Dessous from Coffinet 2013 is a vibrant and energetic effort. In the nose fine and quite delicate minerality interlinked with a white and yellow fruit … oak a bit forward currently. On the palate powerful and long with a vibrant acidity … a magnificent wine for this terroir located just south of Criots Bartard-Montrachet. It has the refinement .. it has the power a truly delightful Chassagne.
Had it mistaken for the 1er cru Blanchots Dessus – concequently the rating could well be somewhat on the high side seen retrospectively. But the truth is in the glass … and I really enjoyed this wine on that lovely day in June.
